The area located between two fortification walls on the eastern and southern slopes of the mound was used as necropolis in the first half of the 6th century. Tombs and terracotta graves belonging to the nobility and administrative officers who lived within the city walls have been excavated in this area. The grave offerings imported from the Aegean and Mediterranean civilizations are remarkable.
